Standards for the Protection of Minors OSK Cyran - short version
STANDARDS FOR THE PROTECTION OF MINORS
at CYRAN Driver Training Centre
1 Legal basis
These Standards for the Protection of Minors (SOM) are based on:
- Act of 13 May 2016 on countering the threat of sexual offences and the protection of minors
- the provisions of the Family and Guardianship Code
- the provisions of the Criminal Code
- other applicable legislation.
The standards apply to all employees, associates and persons acting on behalf of MNOs who have or may have contact with minors.
2 Definitions
- Minor - a person under the age of 18.
- OSK staff - owner, driving instructors, office staff, contractors.
- Harming a minor - any act or omission that violates the welfare of a child, in particular physical, psychological, sexual violence, neglect.
3. Principles for the safe recruitment of staff
- The OSK only allows people to work with minors:
- having a clean criminal record from the National Criminal Register to the required extent
- checked against the Sex Offender Register (restricted access section)
- who have familiarised themselves with these Standards and confirmed this by their signature.
4 Principles of safe staff-minor relationships
4.1 Permitted behaviour
- business contact related exclusively to the implementation of the training,
- Clear, cultured communication, adapted to the minor's age,
- the presence of a third person or the possibility to interact with others during the activity (e.g. driving in public spaces)
- Recording and sharing the image of under-age students (recordings / photos of classes ) - only takes place with the written consent of the parent or legal guardian, given as part of the training contract.
4.2 Prohibited behaviour
- any contact of a sexual nature,
- comments with sexual overtones or which violate dignity,
- invasion of privacy (e.g. contact outside the purposes of the training),
- physical or psychological violence.
5. procedures for responding to suspected abuse of a minor
- Any employee who becomes aware of suspected abuse of a minor is obliged to inform the MNO owner immediately.

- Where there is a reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed:
- It is reported to the police or to the family court,
- measures are taken to safeguard the welfare of the minor.
6 Data protection rules for minors
- Minors' data are processed only to the extent necessary for the training.
- Only authorised persons have access to the data.
- Records are kept securely.
7. training and familiarisation of staff with standards
- Every employee and associate of OSK:
- becomes familiar with the SOM before starting work,
- acknowledges receipt by signature.
- Periodic training is carried out as required, at least once every 2 years.
8 Final provisions
- The standards enter into force on: 15 August 2024.
- Standards are available:
- at the OSK office,
- on the OSK website,
- for inspection by the parents/guardians of minors.
